Videography Projects
Videography has become one of my favorite ways to tell stories that resonate. From directing formal program videos at the Center for Educational Opportunity to producing campaign content for the League of Women Voters, I’ve developed a hands-on understanding of both the technical and creative sides of video production. I’m experienced with cameras like the Sony EOS R50 and Sony NX100, working with three-point lighting setups, and editing in Adobe Premiere Pro to bring out the mood, tone, and message of each piece. Whether I’m behind the camera or editing frame by frame, I focus on creating content that feels intentional, visually engaging, and aligned with the purpose of the project.
Kappa Delta Chi Event Promo
This promotional video was created to reveal the newest members of our organization in a unique and mysterious way. I directed and filmed the entire piece, focusing on shadowed visuals, intentional framing, and setting to build anticipation without fully revealing the individual. The goal was to create intrigue and excitement while keeping the tone cinematic and suspenseful.
League of Women Voters: High School Voting Campaign
This Spanish-language video was created for the League of Women Voters to connect with Milwaukee’s Latinx youth, especially first-generation high school students. I directed, edited, and acted in the video, drawing from personal and shared experiences of pausing your own life to support your immigrant parents. I wanted the piece to feel honest and emotional, while presenting voting as something powerful — a moment of freedom, pride, and agency. The campaign is currently being shown in Milwaukee high schools to encourage students to see themselves in the story and feel inspired to use their voice through voting.
Center for Educational Opportunity Office Hours
This video was created to warmly introduce students to the Center for Educational Opportunity’s office space and all the resources it offers. We highlighted areas they can use to study, hang out, or recharge, as well as how to sign in and access free printing. The goal was to make the space feel approachable and inclusive — a place where students feel comfortable stopping by, whether they need support or just a quiet corner to work.
Vietnam Study Abroad Creative Project
A creative project I put together as the final for my study abroad program. I used footage from a camcorder I thrifted, stitching together a bunch of candid, random clips. It turned out kind of cute if I do say so myself.
Passion Project: Communicating the Cosmos
For as long as I can remember, I have been obsessed with cosmology. Something about outer space feels like home to me. Because of this, I chose to create my final project for the Science Communication course as a reflection of my passion for space. I recorded some clips of my own as B-roll, along with images and clips I found online. I hope to continue my passion for space and science communication throughout my career journey.
